Attribution & data sources

Business listings on this site are derived from the Overture Maps Foundation places dataset (2026-06-17 release), which aggregates open data from Foursquare, Meta, Microsoft, OpenStreetMap and others.

Overture places records are dual-licensed depending on their source. Records originating from Foursquare are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. All other records are licensed under the Community Data License Agreement – Permissive, Version 2.0.

We have modified the source data: we filtered it to six cities in North Orange County and ten business categories, mapped Overture's category taxonomy onto our own, and derived a completeness score from the presence of a phone number, website, street address and postal code. We have not altered the underlying business records.

Photography

The photographs on the home page and the category pages come from Pexels, whose licence permits commercial use without attribution. We credit the photographers anyway. These images are illustrative of a category — a photograph on the dentists page shows a dental practice, not any practice listed on it. No photograph on this site depicts a listed business, and no photograph depicts a specific city.

What we do not use

This directory does not use data from the Google Maps Platform, and it does not host, display or aggregate customer reviews or star ratings from any source. If you are looking for reviews of a business, use Google Maps, Yelp or another review platform directly.
